His achievements include helping with a project to restore the medieval chapel at Glastonbury Abbey, working in a charity shop on Saturdays, joining on a community organic food project, carrying
out a variety of roles from stewarding to conservation with Somerset Youth Volunteering and many more.
His nomination said he deserves recognition for his quiet strength of character and the amount of personal time he devotes to volunteering. He never seeks reward for his efforts and does not want
to shout about them.
