THOUSANDS of students from across Somerset have now received their exam results - but many may still not have decided what they want to do next.

Over the next couple of months, careers education, information, advice and guidance service Connect South West will pull out all the stops to help those who are undecided, or for whom things did not go according to plan make decisions about their future.

Connect South West chief executive Rachel Bendall said: “Over the next couple of months we will be doing a number of things to help people make decisions about their future.

“This includes opening our centres across the county on Saturdays to help make the service more accessible as well as holding careers fairs on both sides of the county.

“Our expert advisers will be available to help both adults and young people make decisions about their future.”

Centres in Taunton, Bridgwater, Wells, and Yeovil will be open on Saturday, September 25, and Saturday, October 2.

Rachel Bendall added: “Depending on the circumstances it is not always possible for some individuals to get to one of our centres during normal opening hours.

“We hope that Saturday openings will mean that those who may find it difficult to come and see us during the week can come and see us and make the most of the services we offer.”

In addition to Saturday openings Connect South West will also be running Careers Fairs in Bridgwater on Wednesday, October 20, and Yeovil on Tuesday, November 2.
