PETE Doherty and Dizzie Rascal were two of the big names performing in soaring temperatures at Glastonbury this afternoon.

Just over halfway through the festival, crowds turned out to watch Mercury Music Prize winning Dizzie Rascal.

The British rapper got crowds jumping along to hits 'Fix up Look Sharp' and number one single 'Bonkers'.

Doherty - who, by appearing alone, quashed rumours of a reunion with former band The Libertines, gave a sedate acoustic performance to adoring fans on the Other Stage.

While thousands sang along, he performed solo material, even including The Libertines hit 'Don't look back into the Sun'.

Earlier in the day people had to be turned away from the Jazz World stage, after thousands turned up to watch television Aussie Rolf Harris.

Harris went through his repertoire, singing classics including 'Tie me Kangaroo down'.

Crowds are now awaiting sets by Kasabian, Bruce Springsteen and Franz Ferdinand.

Log on to this website early tomorrow to find out how the performances went down.
