Sam Neill will apparently be jetting over to the UK to appear in comedy series Toast Of London.
The Irish-born, New Zealand-raised actor – known for movies such as Jurassic Park and Escape Plan – will appear in the third season of the British show, according to its star Matt Berry.
He told Digital Spy: “I think Sam Neill is going to do it. And some other people. Now he has to do it I’ve said that.”
Matt plays eccentric actor Steven Toast, who has a chequered past, in the show.
He confessed he wasn’t certain the series, which he called “a niche thing”, would take off in the way that it did.
“We did this pilot some time ago and thought it would kind of end there. I mean not because it wasn’t any good – because I didn’t know who else would like it,” he said.
Toast Of London also stars Doon Mackichan, Robert Bathurst and Harry Peacock.
