Musicians and performers have flocked to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the massacre in Paris that left almost 130 people dead. Former Smiths frontman and musical legend Morrissey paid tribute in his own way with a rendition of I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris, performed in front of a French flag.
Morrissey performed the track at the Primavera Fauna festival in Chile.
Introducing the song, he said to the crowd: “As you know, as you’ve heard, the war of religion is upon us, or the religion of war is upon us.”
“And we say ‘no thank you, no, no, no, no, no, no, no’.”
Other members of the music world to pay tribute to the Paris attack victims include the Libertines, Ariana Grande and Madonna.
