“TOUCHING” pseudo-biographical theatre is next up at Ilminster’s Warehouse Theatre in a play confronting what it means when a serious illness changes life forever.

Loosely based on the story of late cellist Jaqueline du Pre, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, ‘Duet For One’ explores the relationship between a famous violinist and her analyst.

Played out over six therapy sessions, Stephanie is refusing to come to terms with her MS, but Dr Feldmann encourages her to meet her predicament head on and find the determination to carry on.

The play reached cinema screens in the 1980s with Julie Andrews in the starring role.

Tickets cost £8.50, £7.50 for OAPs and £7 for children or students from the Lanes Garden Shop in Silver Street, Ilminster, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, or on the box office on 07943-779880.
