Crewkerne dramatists bag awards

CUDOS – Crewkerne United Dramatic and Operatic Society – has bagged prestigious awards and nominations as it gears up for its latest production.

It won the National Operatic and Dramatic Association district achievement award for The Dining Room, directed by Greg Groves, and gained nominations in the stage electrics award for technical achievement, the innovative award and the award for best drama production.

CUDOS went on to win the Somerset Fellowship of Drama award for best stage management (Kerry Peters) for the production of Thoroughly Modern Mille, directed by Dendy Harris, and gained nominations for best costumes not hired (Beth Dyer) and best female under 21 (Hattie Eason).
