TAKE four of Britain’s most talented folk-rock musicians and a unique singer, add the repertoire of a genius and you have the recipe for great night.

The Dylan Project, consisting of band members PJ Wright, Gerry Conway, Phil Bond, Dave Pegg and Steve Gibbons, presented an exhilarating tribute to the work of arguably the greatest post-war songwriter in the English language at The Barn @ Square and Compass, Windmill Hill.

The group’s repertoire spanned the whole of Dylan’s music career, everything from Highway 61 to Mississippi, and new material was frequently brought into the set list. 

The Dylan Project took the breath away, as diehard Dylan fans and those who who just enjoy great songs performed with flair and brio found out on Thursday night.
