Chard Concert Brass event for Dave Hill

COUNCILLORS have decided against waiving the Guildhall hire charges for a fund-raising event later this month – even though it is being held in memory of former Chard Mayor Dave Hill.
Tickets are on sale now for the March 17 concert by Chard Concert Brass is being organised by Chard Rotary Club to help raise funds for the PolioPlus charity.
Mr Hill, who suffered from TB, died last year.
Tickets are priced £7.50 and available from the tourist information centre next door to the Guildhall in Fore Street, Barrons in Holyrood Street, Chard, or from club members.
