CHARD will go to the movies again this week after a charity group’s visit.
The Engine Room, a registered charity based in Bridgwater which operates as a community media centre, came to the Forefront Community Centre on a two-day visit earlier this month.
The group, run by Somerset Film, offered a film-making course and a junior journalists’ course on the first day before people came together to make a short film about Chard and its people on day two.
Among the footage which will be used in the film is some video captured during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee parade in the town.
The finished film is due to be shown on Thursday night at Forefront Community Centre and will also be made available on the News website – so watch this space.
