POLICE are looking for witnesses following an attempted burglary near Buckland St Mary in the early hours of today (Thursday, December 20).

A police spokesman said: “Two men in a car were spotted acting suspiciously at about 1.40am at a remote residential location near Buckland St Mary.

“They left the scene in a car, colliding with a parked car and then another car. We believe the car being used by the suspects was a small silver coloured car – possibly a Peugeot or a Citroen.”

The spokesman said the car had the prefix of FN02 and was likely to have sustained “significant damage” following the collisions with other vehicles.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Buckland St Mary area at the time of the incident who may have seen the suspect’s vehicle or have information which could help us with our investigations,” he added.

People again can phone police on 101 or they can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
