A MAN needed hospital treatment for burns after suffering a chemical attack in the parking area behind flats in Coles Place, Chard.
ILMINSTER Bowling Club’s Louis Ridout celebrated after being named England Young Bowler of the Year.
POLICE were warning late-night revellers in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne that they would be taking action against those found urinating in shop doorways or town centre streets.
IT was announced that car park charges across Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne would increase from April – much to the annoyance of local shoppers.
ANGRY car owners were fighting back in the battle against vandals in Combe Street, Chard, by installing CCTV outside their homes in a bid to catch the culprits on camera.
IT was revealed that Royal Navy helicopter pilots flying over the RNAS Merryfield airfield near Ilton were coming under attack from people on the ground dazzling them with laser pens.
THE Chard and Ilminster News area was dubbed one of the most expensive places to live in South Somerset – based on the 2012-13 council tax bills which were finalised by local authorities.
IT was announced that Her Majesty the Queen would be visiting Yeovil and Crewkerne as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour of the nation later in the year.
