New drop-in clinic at the Guildhall
6:00am Sunday 13th January 2013 in News
AN Emotional Outreach Project - which has been funded by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund - has now started in South Somerset and Mendip.
The project started in August 2012 and was officially launched in October. A drop-in clinic in Chard has been set up at the Guildhall information desk every Tuesday afternoon at 2pm until 5pm.
The drop-in clinics provide information, signposting and emotional support for those living with mental distress. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along for a chat or for some information.
The project will also be delivering wellbeing activities and life skills courses in the coming months.
The drop-in clinic is run by support worker Kirsty Cridge, South Somerset Emotional Outreach Support Worker, who is working alongside alongside Julie Matthews, well-known locally as the co-ordinator of the WATCH Project, on the information desk.
For more information on the project please visit South Somerset Mind's Website www.southsomersetmind.co.uk or phone Kirsty on 01935-474875 or email kirsty.cridge@soutsomersetmond.co.uk .
