Chard School raises £145 from unwanted clothes

CHARD School raised £145 through the Bag2School initiative.

The Friends of Chard School collected 290kg of unwanted clothes and textiles which was converted into cash for school funds. The clothes and textiles are sent around the world to needy people.

Well done. Bag2school pay £500 per tonne collected. Have a look at the bags you get through the door collecting and see how little they give to the charity. The last one I had only gave £50 per tonne to the childrens charity, so £450 for them. Thats why you get about two a week, lots of profit to be made.
