Will and Willow need a home
WILL and Willow look like two loveable dogs but staff at Ferne Animal Sanctuary are having problems re-homing them.
Cats and dogs are available for adoption or rehoming from Ferne, at Wambrook, within a 30-mile radius of the sanctuary.
Staff rehome about 20 dogs a month but retired racing greyhound Will and German Shepherd Willow have been with there since October.
A Ferne spokesman said: “We would love to be able to rehome these two dogs as quickly as possible – so if anyone wants further information please phone us 01460-65214.”
Will is looking for a home with an owner who will be about most of the day to give him the care and attention he needs, while a more experienced dog owner would be suitable for Willow.
The spokesman added: “We offer real support and wherever possible one of our volunteer home visitors will visit adopters on an annual basis throughout the life of their pet.
“It is not a check on the adopters, it is the sanctuary’s way of reminding them that we are here to offer support.”
Will enjoys adult attention and has socialised with children of four years and over, while Willow is wary of men and any children in the home would need to be older.
Anyone interested in rehoming an animal needs to make an appointment with the sanctuary on 01460-65214.
