Lottery boost for Ashill

MEMBERS of the Ashill village hall committee were thrilled to hear they had received a grant of £8,630 from the National Lottery.
The grant has paid for an efficient heating system, the installation of a new roller-shutter serving hatch from the kitchen, new thermal curtains and the cost of having the hall’s wooden floor sanded and resurfaced.
Hall secretary Jane Simmonds-Short said: “These works have considerably enhanced the facilities of the hall which has undergone a programme of refurbishment over the last few years.”
