Slay the Dragon organisers are thanked by school head

THE head teacher of the village school in Hinton St George has congratulated the organisers of the annual Slay the Dragon 10k and fun runs.

Cold conditions failed to deter nearly 100 runners from taking part in the 10k, while there were the younger and less- adventurous athletes up for 4k and 2k challenges.

The race was organised by the Parents-Friends Association of Hinton St George First School.

And head teacher, David Carter, who took part himself, said: “I enjoyed the 10k immensely and I have received plenty of positive feedback about the event.

“The PFA, in particular Pip Loder, are to be congratulated for their brilliant efforts in organising the event so well.”
