Hunt is on for Easter bunnies
4:20pm Thursday 21st March 2013 in News
FAMILIES are being encouraged to help find the Easter Bunnies moving into the town centre later this week.
The Chard Town Team and more than 70 traders are running a ‘hunt the bunny’ event from March 23 to April 6.
Families with children up to 11 years old are being invited to hunt around Chard’s shops looking for a hidden bunny.
Each entrant who finds at least 20 bunnies will receive an Easter egg gift, while those who find more than 20 will be entered in a draw for a voucher to spend in one of the participating trader’s shops.
Entry forms will be available from the Guildhall and Chard Tourist Information Centre from March 23, but the competition is limited to 100 families/ children, so don’t delay in entering.
Traders taking part will be displaying a poster saying if the bunny is in the shop or window and, in the case of the market, on a stall.
Garry Shortland, of the Chard Town Team, said: “I’m amazed at the number of traders in Chard who have agreed to take part and hope this is a partnership which will continue to grow throughout 2013.”
