Scheme aims to cut queues at Somerset A&E departments

First published in News

A SCHEME has been introduced to stem the tide of people turning up at Somerset’s A&E departments this winter.

Pharmacists are working with family doctors and the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group to offer the ‘Minor Ailment Service”.

Pharmacies will supply medicines for specific conditions and people exempt from prescription charges are still covered under the scheme.
