ON the County Gazette Facebook page, Kathryn Louise Whittle said: "I can say that Musgrove was the best hospital I've given birth in.

"Couldn't think of a nicer place to have a baby myself."

10:06am

EMILY is a former Ladymead Community School student and a keen hockey player, representing Taunton Vale Hockey Club when she was younger.

Emily's mother Bex gave some of her team mates a shock last season when Peter dropped by to watch their match.

Yeovil Express:

9:23am

THE County Gazette has been told the family do not wish to comment at this time.

9:07am

Note: News is not confirmed at this stage - we're just letting you know what's afoot in the Twittersphere...
And Peter Andre's only Tweet this morning is about martial arts...
Yeovil Express:

9:03am

THE County Gazette is waiting for official confirmation from Musgrove Park Hospital.

But one fan took to Twitter to say: 'Peter Andre is in the hospital I work at with Emily and his baby daughter omg.'

8:49am

THE couple posted a photo on Twitter around Christmas showing Emily's baby bump.

Yeovil Express:

8:21am

PETER spoke to the County Gazette in October 2012 on his fondness for Somerset.

The British and Australian pop star was performing at Butlin’s in Minehead.

He told the Gazette's Hannah Green: "I love it down there. There is something beautiful about Somerset – it is a really peaceful place.

"That’s where it all began with Emily and at least people know we have known each other for a couple of years, since I met Ru."

8:09am

JACQUI Ann Duffield, on the Somerset County Gazette's Facebook page: "Congratulations to the lovely couple.... I wonder if Peter will have time for his workout today........."

7:24am

THE baby would be the first for medical student Emily Macdonagh.

It would be Peter’s third though as he already has a son, Junior, and daughter, Princess, with ex-wife Katie Price.

7:20am

ON a Facebook page, a post which said 'It seems a celebrity has had a baby at a Somerset hospital' attracted hundreds of likes and almost 200 comments overnight.

7:15am

OTHER people reported seeing the couple at the hospital and spread the news on social media.

7:07am

MUSGROVE Park Hospital is the main hospital for Taunton and surrounding areas and is based within a mile of the town centre.

7:03am

RUMOURS are rife with the news that Peter Andre and his Taunton-born girlfriend Emily MacDonagh have had their first child at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

The County Gazette received a tip-off from a member of the public to say their daughter's friend, who was at the hospital, saw the celebrity couple.

The couple are no strangers to Taunton when the pair met through Emily's surgeon father Dr Ruaraidh ‘Ru’ MacDonagh, who operated on Peter in 2010 to remove his kidney stones.

Peter, 40 and Emily, 23, announced they were having a baby back in July after dating for about a year.

What amazed me the most reading the Mercury in my lunch hour at work yesterday was the top story on the Mercury was about Pete Andre, the second was about Matt Cardle pulling out of the Bridgwater Town Hall set he was going to do. Its a shame real news like flooding and the fact many people in the area were facing having their homes flooded out was not the main story.

We have one pop star who is hooked on pills and lets people down who paid money to see him perform for the second time I believe, and another pop star who seems to think we should care he visited our local hospital when he could of used the money he earnt to pay private instead of using the NHS.

Nothing wrong with celebrating life of a newborn but lets not make out that either story or so called celeb cares about the Bridgwater/Taunton Somerset area on a local webpage for the area because they couldn't give a hoot about us locals.

Well said frags27. The headline this week is nothing to do with celebs, it is local flooding, this is much more important to local people than overpaid celebs.

Honey21 if is the first thing you see on the site yes I would probably read it first and comment as I see fit as I am allowed an opinion, so are you saying I can only comment if I like them or some article I agree with then?. So much for freedom of speech. If everyone said yes well done on any post and didn't express an opinion god what a world we would live in 24x7 robots.

Its a shame that it takes a celeb to appreciate the work that Musgrove does on daily basis year in year out 365 days a year. I fully appreciate this and all the nurses, midwives in the NHS what they do is outstanding in so many ways I see no other mention of the good work Musgrove does, so I looks like it takes a celeb to make us realise this is that what we are saying? News can be happy it doesn't take a Celeb to appreciate this. As for Matt Cardle that's unhappy news for all the disappointed people who like him and spent money on tickets (hope they can go again, or get money back) but is that worth a 2nd major headline compared to people having their houses flooded I think not.

I think its lovely that they've had their baby in the same town as Emily was born, whether it was planned or not. Usually as soon as people become involved in fame it goes straight to their head. They want private, designer clothes, the best etc because money is no object, but Peter & Emily seem really down to earth & just want to live a normal life with their families. Congratulations & good luck to them

Actually, I was referring to the tweet saying (although not a direct quote) :

That implies that she works there..... And given her name was quoted in a few papers, I think the hospital will have no trouble finding out who it was ;-)
