TWO climbers were rescued this evening after getting stuck on the cliff at Cheddar Gorge.
The alarm was raised at around 4.15pm this afternoon.
A fire crew from Cheddar was sent to the scene, along with the specialist rescue team from Bridgwater.
A fire service spokesman said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed two climbers to be missing.
"Crews carried out a search of the area using thermal image camera.
"Avon Cliff Rescue were also in attendance and liaising with police and ambulance."
The two climbers were rescued around an hour ago.
