DEVON and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service firefighters confirm they had to cut two elderly passengers from their vehicle after the accident.
A spokesman added: "Fiore crews made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the hands of police."
Traffic is returning to normal following this morning's incident.

The Highways Agency says all lanes have now re-opened but is warning motorists to expect long delays.

Two people were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton with minor injuries, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
THE M5 is closed southbound by Bridgwater due to a two-vehicle collision.
The cars collided in the middle lane between junctions 23 and 24, resulting in all three being closed at around 10.40am.
There are long tailbacks.
