EXCITEMENT is mounting among Year 6 pupils at Swanmead School, as they gear up for their residential trip to Cardiff.
The cultural experience will see them take a boat trip around Cardiff Bay, visit a ‘big pit’ – an old shaft mine in the Welsh Valleys – and a guided tour of the Millennium Stadium.
The youngsters, who are working hard towards their SATs tests in May, will go on their well-deserved three-day trip in early February.
Head teacher Mark Walker said: “Myself and my colleagues look forward to taking this fantastic year group of children away for a few days and seeing all that the Welsh capital has to offer.”
