THERE has been a spate of non-dwelling burglaries in Ilminster, with mainly bikes being taken.
These have largely been taken from garages, after the doors have been forced open.
Ilminster PCSO Karen Pack said: "I would urge everybody to check their security and to ensure where possible any items of value that are left in garages sheds etc are security marked.
"We do get a number of items found or recovered, but most of the time, these are never returned to their owners due to lack of identification.
"Electrical items, mobile phones etc can be recorded on a National website called IMMOBILISE. This is a national site and I believe you can register anything that you regard as having value there.
"Police have access to this 24/7 to check whether found items have been stolen, and therefore can be returned to their rightful owners."
