TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of an assault in Yeovil - but police would like to identify the victim as part of their investigation.

Police were alerted to the assault after it was spotted on CCTV.

At 3.30am on Saturday February 8, two men were seen assaulting a third man on Middle Street.

Police officers were directed to the scene and two men were arrested.

However, despite an extensive check of the local area, and the hospital, the victim could not be found.

The victim is thought to be a white man who may have an Irish accent.

The suspects have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
