THE flood-hit Rose and Crown at East Lyng - featured in last week’s County Gazette - is to get a boost on Friday, March 14 when it hosts a special evening of music at 8pm.
Covers band Fools and Horses and acoustic rocker Grouvecat are playing at the pub to support landlords Phil and Ann Basford.
Barry James, of Fools and Horses, said: “We practice in the skittle alley and we really wanted to do something to support this great pub and give them a night to remember, especially given how the floods have had such a negative impact.
“Both acts are playing for free and are really excited about the night. We hope the pub will be full because we will do our very best to make sure it’s a fantastic evening of music.”
