A PEDESTRIAN was killed after a collision with a car in Yeovil.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened just before 9am yesterday (April 6) when a silver Ford Fiesta was in collision with a woman, who was walking along Stourton Way.

 

The woman, who was in her forties and from the local area, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed, and an investigation into the collision has begun.

Stourton Way was closed until about 3pm, to enable officers to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. It has now re-opened.
