ILMINSTER Young Farmers Club has given £645 to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Members visited the base in Henstridge to see the helicopter, meet the crew and hear how the money will be used.
The money was raised over the course of a year from an annual Big Barn Bash, turkey plucking and sponsored bike ride.
Donna Grabham said: “It is a charity that’s close to many of our members’ hearts having had many personal connections to people who have had to use its services.
“We have further £645 amounts to give away to our other chosen charities in the near future.”
The club is now busy preparing for the Somerset Rally, county competitions day, on Saturday, May 17, at Frogmary Green Farm, South Petherton. Everyone is welcome.
