Carers urged to have their say on Somerset services

UNPAID carers across Somerset can influence the way services designed to help them are run at a conference on May 1.

A Carers’ Conference is being held by Compass Carers, a specialist team from Compass Disability Services, from 10am to 4pm at the Canalside Conference Venue in Huntworth, Bridgwater.

There will be presentations from industry leaders and members of Somerset County Council, as well as personal stories from carers in Somerset.

A lunch will follow, and in the afternoon workshops will allow carers to have their say on the Somerset Carers Strategy being re-written by the county council.

Anyone interested in the work and support of unpaid carers is invited.

To book a seat at the event, call Kevin Tarr on 01823-255911 or email kevin@compassdisability .org.uk
