A CHARITY football match in memory of Bradley Cullen – a popular Ilminster student who died aged just 15 – was played on Sunday.

Chelsea fan Bradley, who went to Greenfylde First School and Swanmead School in Ilminster, died last June due to heart failure brought about by the rare Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy disease.

The match at the recreation ground between Ilminster Youth Football Club Boys under-16s and an Allstars team, made up of coaches, managers and Bradley’s father, who played as goalkeeper, finished 3-3.

About £400 was raised for the charity Action Duchenne and organisers thanked everyone who gave raffle prizes and helped make the day a huge success.
