A CHARITY which encourages elderly people to get out and enjoy a good singalong to the hits of the 50s onwards is starting daytime activity and singing sessions in South Somerset.
Goldies, as it has become fondly known, was started by West Country music man Grenville, and they have a session in Chard Town Hall on the first Thursday of each month from 10.30am to 11.30am with the next one on Thursday, May 1.
In Ilminster, singing takes place at The Minster Rooms, Court Barton, on the last Tuesday of each month from 2pm to 3pm, starting on Tuesday, April 29, and in Crewkerne at the Henhayes Centre, South Street car park, on the first Tuesday of the month from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, the next session being on Tuesday, May 6.
