A WOMAN from Merriot has fallen at the final hurdle of the BBC's MasterChef contest.
Angela Langford booked her spot in the final of the cooking contest but failed to make it through a cook-off with overall winner Ping Coombes, from Bath, for a place in the last three.
Ms Langford, along with the other final three contestants, had to cook at the Holborn Dining Rooms in London for the Chef's Table challenge.
All four amateur chefs had to cook one course from a menu designed by two Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge, for a collection of the country's finest chefs; Ashley Palmer-Watts, Michael Caines, Nathan Outlaw, Simon Rogan and Tom Kitchin.
Ms Langford, who runs her own organic skincare business from her home, was criticised by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace for not seasoning her food.
