TALENTED mathematicians from Greenfylde First School and Swanmead Community School in Ilminster enjoyed a morning of challenges.
The pupils from both schools spent the morning together as part of a transfer activity as Greenfylde pupils prepare to join Swanmead in September.
The morning at Swanmead involved fact recollection, quickfire maths facts and rocky road cake making, and finished with an all action maths relay trial.
The event was one of many continued collaborative activities between children and staff from the two schools.
Swanmead School head teacher Mark Walker said: “Sharing opportunities and expertise between staff and pupils in both schools is obviously a really positive thing.
“The maths morning gave our Greenfylde Year 4 children a really important insight into their new school.
“I’m sure all parents in our community would back and encourage the continued collaborative approach to working together that Greenfylde and Swanmead have.”
