POLICE are investigating a burglary at a home in Chard where two watches, a sat-nav system and money was taken.

The break-in happened on Tuesday, May 20, in Victoria Avenue, and a door was forced open to get into the home.

PC Adam Rowland said: “I would be keen to speak with anyone who can recall anybody acting suspicious in Victoria Avenue during this time period.

“Any information, no matter how small, may go a long way to assisting us in catching the person responsible. I would like any residents who live in this area with CCTV on their homes to review their systems for that day.”

PC Rowland also warned people to, given the warmer weather, keep their doors and windows locked if they are away from their homes, even for a short period of time He added: “Please ensure that valuable are security marked and an accurate record is always kept of serial numbers or unique identifying marks.”
