IT could be one of the hottest days of the year so far for the Chard and Ilminster area today (June 13).
Temperatures are set to reach 24C, according to the Met Office, with weather for the South-West set to be sunny for both today and Saturday with highs of 23C or 24C.
The outlook for Sunday is much the same with the morning being the brightest part of the day.
A spokesman for the Met Office said the high pressure system is likely to stay until the end of next week with the weather being settled until then.
