PEONIES and ponies will be on offer at an open gardens event in Thorncombe next month.
An assortment of gardens, including the allotments, will be opened to visitors on Sunday, July 20, from 2-5pm.
The event is in aid of Chard and District Riding for Disabled (RDA) and Thorncombe swimming pool.
Visitors will also be able to meet Norbert, one of the special ponies RDA uses.
Tickets are £5 and are available from Thorncombe village hall. Maps will be provided.
Other attractions include cream teas, home-made cakes and cider from the West Milton Cider Company, and a plant stall at the village hall.
The gardens do not have wheelchair access and organisers ask visitors not to take dogs into the gardens. For more information call 01297-678234.
