POLICE have charged a 26-year-old man after a car was stolen following a burglary in Yeovil.

Leon Tillman, of no fixed address, has been charged with one count of burglary and one count of aggravated vehicle taking, following the incident at a property in Mudford Road, on Friday 20 June.

The car, a Kia Picanto, was found in the Hawthorn Road area the following day.

Tillman has also been charged with a further count of burglary and one count of going equipped to steal relating to a separate incident at Yeovil District Hospital on 25 June.

He appeared at South Somerset Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 27, and was remanded in custody until his next hearing.
