THE deadline is looming to nominate your local police officer for this year’s Neighbourhood Policing Awards.
With two weeks left until the closing date, Avon and Somerset Police are asking people to make sure your local beat manager, PCSO, special constable, police staff member or community volunteer is in with a chance of picking up an award at this year’s ceremony in November.
Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: “The nominations we have already received highlight the caring nature of call handlers, the lifesaving actions of officers, the selfless nature of volunteers and the support of neighbourhood policing teams.”
To nominate, visit www.neighbourhoodpolicingawards.co .uk. The closing date is August 4 and nomination forms are also available in police stations and libraries.
