POLICE confirmed today that a boy died following a serious collision which closed the M5 in Somerset for several hours last week.
The collision, between a Vauxhall Astra and a lorry, happened on the southbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 23, Burnham and Bridgwater north, shortly after 2am on Wednesday.
A passenger in the car, a 14-year-old boy from Poland, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, where he died the following evening.
