AGE UK Somerset provides chair based activities in the Community ranging from Village Halls to Retirement Accommodation with active volunteers taking the sessions,

People who volunteer include ex nurses, teachers or retired House Managers, no previous experience is necessary.

It may well help you to stay a little more active as you age.

Many people prefer ‘someone just like me’ to take the sessions.

From a survey conducted by Age UK Somerset, comments have included, ‘I am more flexible, confident and improved mobility on getting in and out of the bath’.

One person stated that she felt a bit doddery with minimal limb strength and now feels a lot stronger, more toned, happier and less depressed.

They are looking for a couple of new volunteers to run classes in and around Yeovil, could you be that person?

Travelling expenses are paid.

The chance to be funded on a Level 2 course called Chair Based Exercises for Everyday Living is available for the right candidate.

An interest in your Community and Communication Skills are all that are required.
