A WORKSHOP for local businesses on using the internet will be held in Ilminster next month.
County Cllr Linda Vijeh has arranged for the Get Up To Speed team to deliver the workshop.
It is part of the county council’s Connecting Devon and Somerset programme, in conjunction with Ilminster Chamber of Commerce.
Cllr Vijeh said: “Locally, particularly in outlying communities, there has been some frustration in relation to the speed, or lack of it, with which Superfast Broadband has been delivered, but we are getting there.
“Now that there will be this opportunity for businesses to up their technology game, workshops such as this will, I am sure, help everyone to make full use of it.”
The workshop will give advice on using social media to help with business, from exploring the different social media channels to developing a strategy for individual businesses.
The workshop is on Wednesday, September 10, at the Shrubbery Hotel from 7.30-9pm.
