SOMERSET Wildlife Trust unveiled its new home in Taunton last week.
The county’s conservation charity moved to a building on Wellington Road in the town, where an official opening was led by the Mayor of Taunton Deane Cllr Dave Durdan.
The trust was able to use funds from a legacy left by founder member Dr Chris Smith to buy the new property in 2013 and has received a lot of support from local suppliers to refurbish the building, which will accommodate 35 staff.
The move comes in the trust’s 50th anniversary and director of resources Andrew Davis told the County Gazette: “The day was a great success and it gave us the opportunity to thank our volunteers and supporters as well as the local suppliers who have helped to refurbish the building. We are very grateful for all the support.”
