A NEW man is at the helm of Chard School.
Paul Cawley-Wakefield has become the school’s headmaster this school year and has extensive experience of leading independent prep schools.
He left his post as headmaster at St John’s Priory, a co-educational day prep school in Oxfordshire, to join Chard School.
Mr Cawley-Wakefield is settling into his new role and said: “I am delighted to be head of this flourishing prep school, which has a long and distinguished history and exciting future.
“The specialist subject teachers excellently enthuse the pupils to learn in small class sizes and the family, friendly atmosphere of the school truly nurtures the children while instilling in them self-worth, good manners and care and consideration of others.”
The newly refurbished nursery, The Lawns at Chard School now takes children aged 0-5, 52 weeks a year, from 7.30am-6pm
