QUIZMASTERS were out in force this week as 13 teams battled it out for supremacy at the annual Ilminster Carnival Quiz held at The Shrubbery Hotel.
The event, hosted by president of the carnival committee, Stuart Shepherd, and supported by the Rotary Club of Ilminster, raised £200 in total to support muchneeded funds to keep the popular carnival going.
This year, quiz master and former Rotarian Ian Pamplin put everyone through their paces over ten rounds of questions covering everything from sport to music, and the arts.
Winners, for the seventh year running, were The Crown Jewels, who scored an impressive 97, closely followed by The Monmouth Board team with 92 points.
Cllr Andrew Shearman, who attended the event with family members, along with Rotarian president-elect, Linda Piggott- Vijeh, said: “This was a tough one, but great fun and something we look forward to every year.”
