RESIDENTS in Chard and Ilminster are being urged to fish out their goggles and take part in a fund-raising swim for charity.

Swimathon 2015 will see over 600 pools participate to raise vital funds for Marie Curie.

Taking place across the weekend of April 17- 19, this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet.

Mary Curie Dorset and Somerset Community Fund-raiser Amy Salmon said: “We’re looking for swimmers who are up to the challenge to help make this the biggest and best Swimathon yet.

“In 2013, 385 swimmers took part across the district and together raised a brilliant £24,279.

Swimmers can challenge themselves with a number of distances.
