POLICE have named a man who died following a crash that left a car upside down and submerged in a drainage ditch as Robert Goodwin, aged 27, of Highbridge.

 

POLICE have now released the 27-year-old man arrested earlier today.

He must answer bail in July.

Police enquiries are ongoing.

 

THE body of a man has been found in a car submerged in water in Somerset this morning.

Police say the man died in a collision in Mark today, Saturday, May 30.

Officers were called to the scene in The Causeway at 5.19am by an ambulance crew who discovered the vehicle in a rhyne.

The man's body was found inside the vehicle.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We are carrying out enquiries to establish the cause of this collision.

"A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is still in custody for questioning."
