CHARD Museum and Heritage Centre is holding its 45th birthday celebration on Saturday, July 18, with a number of activities and attractions.
The award-winning museum in Chard’s High Street opened for the first time on July 20, 1970.
Now the museum is planning on celebrating its 45th anniversary with a variety of entertainment, from local musicians, a dance troupe and a professional storyteller who will tell folk stories. Refreshments will be served and a raffle held, along with various stalls such as bric a brac; books and CDs.
Entrance is free and the museum will be open from 2pm.
