THE devastated family of murdered Tatworth woman Tracey Baker has paid tribute to her.

Mrs Baker’s body was found at her home in Wellings Close, Tatworth, on July 5 where she had apparently been killed by her husband Kevin Baker, 35, who then took his own life.

Barbara and Peter Amey, the parents of Mrs Baker, 42, last week paid tribute to her in a statement released by police.

“We are devastated after Tracey’s life was so cruelly taken on July 5 - leaving behind her three children Jessica, George and Loren,”

read the statement.“We are extremely grateful for the support we’ve been given and for the messages of condolence that we have received since Tracey’s death.

“May she rest in peace.”

Several hundred mourners attended Mrs Baker’s memorial service at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Furnham Road, Chard, last Wednesday (July 22) followed by a private burial.

A fund for Mrs Baker’s children – nine-year-old Jessica, George, seven, and three-yearold Loren – has now topped £4,560; a massive 1,545% over the initial £300 target.

The funeral of the children’s father, Kevin Baker, was held at St John’s Church, Tatworth, followed by private burial, on Monday (July 27).
