Open day at Chard Cricket Club
CHARD Cricket Club will be holding an English Cricket Board “Open Day” on Sunday, August 30, in conjunction with sponsors Waitrose.
Cricket clubs nationwide are encouraging the public to try out cricket and the Chard club’s day starts at 10.30am with a six-a-side competition.
The club is keen to attract new members of any age. Both men and women are welcome.
The youth section of the club is organising nets where visitors can try out their skills in batting and bowling.
There will be a bouncy castle and other cricket-based competitions.
The Bar will be open all day and there will be a barbecue along with music in the evening in the clubhouse.
