DIGNITARIES paraded through Chard on Sunday as the mayor of Chard, Cllr Dave Bulmer, held his Civic Service at St Mary’s Church in Chard.
The procession included representatives from councils and groups from around the region, converging on Chard for the annual service and parade.
The event is hosted each year by the mayor of Chard.
A procession of visiting mayors and their consorts, as well as council chairmen and councillors, plus guests, made its way from the Guildhall to the church for the service.
The parade through the town was headed by Cllr Bulmer’s mayor’s chaplain, Father Jeff Williams.
